Papers & Articles

Course Title:

Advanced Diploma Applied Animal Behaviour Level 5

I am currently studying for my advanced diploma to become a behaviourist, which means reading my fair share of papers and articles. I understand that there are many people out there who have a deep interest in applied animal behaviour and want to learn more, but do not have access to the course. I think that education should be accessible to everyone, so each week I am going to update a list of papers and articles I am referencing in my work. It is important to remember that animal behaviour includes the whole animal kingdom, including humans. Many of these studies, especially the older ones, will be lacking in ethical competency, and even some of the modern papers are not ones that I personally agree with- alas, if I only read and refer to work I agreed with, how far can I say my education on the matter has really gone?

This is all to say that I do not endorse any of these papers, they are simply here to let you know what I am reading to further my education and become the best behaviourist that it is within my capacity.

Please remember not all papers are created equally; we are all human, and even in science bias exists.

Papers are listed in no particular order.
